Tere Rill, President

Tere Rill lives in Centre County, PA with her husband Pastor James Rill.  Tere attended Penn State and graduated from Carl Sandberg University with a degree in Nursing.  She holds a Professional Certificate from Loyola University of Baltimore in Communications and a Professional Certificate in financial giving from the College of William and Mary.  She also has attended some graduate classes at George Mason University.  Tere is currently the publisher and owner of The Women’s Journal, a publication that is delivered to 14 central Pennsylvania counties.  Tere and James have 3 awesome children and 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.  She is an International Athena Award winner and supporter, a proud Rotarian active in 5 chambers and active in the Lutheran Church (ELCA).  Tere helped organize the Penn State Nittany Lion Pride Booster Club and is proud to serve as its President.

Lorie Brown

Lorie Brown and her husband Norman Brown have two children, Todd and Christen (who is married to Brandon Lapsley). Her hobbies are baking, cooking, crafts, exercise and spending time with family and friends.
Working in the Penn State retail industry since 1989, Lorie Brown has been showing her love for all things PSU for decades. An LPN graduate (and former high school cheerleader!) from Philipsburg, she has been living in State College for over 35 years. Now, Lorie has been the supervisor of the All-Sports Museum gift store inside Beaver Stadium since 2006. "Hearing the stories of Penn Staters from all over the world makes my job so rewarding. I love representing this university and the Penn State Bookstore, bringing the 'we are' to all I do!" 


Julie Berardi - Head Coach, Lionettes

Julie Berardi is the coach for the Penn State Lionettes. Julie graduated from Penn State in 2008 in Advertising/Public Relations and was a member of the Lionettes from 2004-2008. She started dancing at a young age at studios in Pennsylvania and Delaware and is trained in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, modern, tap, pom, kick and hip-hop. In 2001, Julie toured Europe along with the Blue Lake International Ballet Ensemble, starring in an original piece by Jefferson Baum and was chosen to perform the pas de duex from Don Quixote. Since graduating from Penn State, she was able to turn her passion for dance into a career in choreography and coaching for dance teams and studios across the country.  She has choreographed over 35 dance teams and studios over the past five years and earned multiple titles, top 5 finishes and choreography awards. We are honored to have her as the first head coach for the Lionettes! In addition to coaching the Lionettes, she is also the Owner/Artistic Director at Synergy Dance, a choreography company that specializes in competition choreography for high school,college teams and studios. Her great joy in life is being able to work with dancers and help them to reach their full potential and experience success! She is excited to return to her alma mater and hopes to bring the Lionettes Dance Team Program to the next level!

Doreen Schivley

Doreen Schivley lives in State College, Pa with her husband Mark. Doreen received a BS in Special Education from Penn State in 1978 and a Master's Degree in Psychology from Washington College in 1983. She retired from teaching in the field of Special Education from the Kent County Public Schools (Chestertown, MD) in 2008 after a 30 year career. Hobbies include reading, dancing, cooking, picking grapes for a local winery,  swimming, and watching sports. In State College, Doreen is a docent/volunteer at the Penn State All-Sports Museum. She and her husband, Mark are members of the Nittany Lion Club, Life-time members of Back the Lions and the Penn State Alumni Association, State College Quarterback Club, Lady Lion Cager Club, Friends of Penn State Men's Hockey, Tailback Club, Centre County Penn State Alumni Association, and of course Nittany Lion Pride. In addition, Doreen was selected to be an inaugural member of the Nittany Lion Fan Council.
As an undergraduate, Doreen danced in Thon in 1976 and 1977 when it was a full 48 hours and held in the HUB ballroom. Doreen also tried out for the cheerleading squad. She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and a Sigma Pi Little Sister.

Eugene Bodden, Assistant Coach, Cheerleading

Eugene Bodden is our new assistant coach. Eugene cheered for Penn State for four years and graduated in 2014 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.  He then went on to Hofstra University to pursue his graduate degree where he also cheered on the Hofstra University competition cheerleading squad and helped lead them to two National Championships at the College Cheerleading Nationals.  We are happy that Eugene has returned to his alma mater as the Assistant Coach of Penn State Cheerleading!

Marci Harmon, Treasurer

Marci Harmon is a 1982 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Accounting and a 1987 graduate of the MBA program at Fairleigh Dickinson University.   While at Penn State, Marci was in Alpha Phi Sorority, a little sister at Theta Chi Fraternity, founder of the Penn State Twirling Club and danced in Thon each year that she was a student there.  Marci and her husband, Brian (’83 SpCom), live in Long Valley, NJ and also have a home in State College, PA. They have two children Jason (’12 AerospaceEngr) who lives in Weehawken, NJ and Jessica (’14 M.Ed and BS Education) who lives in Arlington, VA.  Marci is a Certified Public Accountant and owns her own accounting firm,  Marci J. Harmon, CPA LLC.  In her spare time she is involved in the Penn State Alumni Admissions Program, the Schreyer Honors College Parents Council, the Alpha Phi Alumni Association, the THON Hope Gala Advisory Board and the Nittany Lion Pride organization.  Her daughter Jessica was a Penn State cheerleader from 2010-2014, and Marci is proud to serve as the Treasurer of the Nittany Lion Pride Booster Club.

Amy Davis, Newsletter Chairperson

Amy Davis is 1989 graduate of Penn State University with a BA degree in Print Journalism.  She lives in Pittsburgh, PA and is the Communications Director of RSVP4 Messages.  Amy enjoys spending time with her nieces, volunteering at various levels for the Penn State Alumni Association, supporting THON and walking towards weight loss and the B1G 10K in August.  Amy is the newsletter chairperson for the Nittany Lion Pride newsletter and you may email her with newsletter submissions at goknitneeliunz@yahoo.com

Curtis White - Head Coach, Cheerleading

Curtis White is in his 17th year as head coach of Penn State's cheerleading program and has more than 20 years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. His Penn State cheerleading squads have won two national championships. The 2016 Penn State Cheerleading team placed in the Top 5 at the College Cheerleading National Championship. In the past 10 years, Penn State cheerleaders have been recognized nationally for their ability to get the Penn State crowd to support their sport teams.

Stacey Kelley, Secretary

Stacey Kelley lives in Boalsburg, Pa with her husband Robert (Bob) Meyer (class of ’66).  Stacey was raised in State College and attended Penn State.  Although she is not a graduate of the school, Stacey retired from Penn State in June 2013 with 35 years of service.   She worked in several departments: Intercollegiate Athletics; Eberly College of Science, Biology;  University Development and Alumni Relations; and the Controller’s office.  Her husband, Bob, also retired from Penn State in 2008 after 42 years of service.  Stacey has one son Ryan Kelley (’08) and two stepchildren, Kelly Meyer Carinci and Geoff Meyer who also graduated from Penn State. Stacey enjoys many types of crafts, reading and avidly follows Penn State sports.  Stacey is thankful to accept the offer to be on the board for Nittany Lion Pride.
